Yokohama Japan - SOC’s world-leading video codec solutions for 4K and 8K have attracted the Japanese Market at ET&IoT Technology 2018. The embedded technology exhibition "Embedded Technology" opening in Pacifico Yokohama every November, expanded its coverage to IoT in 2015 to become "ET & IoT Technology".
In 2018, ET & IoT Technology was held from the 14th to 16th of November, focusing on Edge Technology, Edge (Cloud), Next-gen Mobility, Medical, Embedded AI, Security, etc. According to the organizer, Japan Embedded Systems Technology Association (JASA), the number of visitors over 3 days was 26,607, an increase from 25,281 the previous year. I interviewed FujiSoft with a booth at ET & IoT Technology 2018 this time (Interview done in December 2018).
In addition to products/technology on AI processing at the edge, technology and products related to 4K and 8K high resolution video processing were exhibited due to the fact that the main broadcast of 4K and 8K will be started in December 2018.
The Fujisoft exhibit booth consisted mainly of two elements: SOC 4K and 8K video codec board SOC/GIZMO 4K encoding system with less degradation
There were many more visitors than we expected, with visitors from different industrial sectors. Previously there were many telecommunications carriers; while this time there were more broadcast equipment makers.
